H&M is proud to launch their first 4th of July collection available in store and online exclusively in the United States from June 22nd. The collection celebrates the spirit of independence, unity, equality, peace and love this summer season with traditional American flag themed apparel and messages of girl power and togetherness.
With this collection, H&M will continue their partnership with Girl Up in order to raise funds and awareness for girl leaders across the country. For every purchase of selected t-shirts from the collection, made between June 22nd and July 4th, H&M will donate $1.00 to Girl Up to empower girl leaders to stand up for gender equality. In addition, every store in the country will be participating in a register drive to simultaneously encourage support via direct donation for Girl Up.

The collection also includes Americana themed items, perfect for watching fireworks or backyard BBQ's. An American flag printed denim jacket in a light acid wash denim will look perfect with a pair or frayed cut offs. Looking to spend the day outside? USA themed one-pieces paired with American flag slides will keep you looking patriotic as you bronze by the pool. Make a statement with The Girl Up t-shirts and embrace woman empowering messages like, "You Go Girl," and "Girls Support Each Other."

Girl Up is a campaign of the United Nations Foundation and since their launch in 2010, they have partnered with the United Nations to support comprehensive programs that give adolescent girls in developing countries an equal chance for education, health, social and economic opportunities, and a life free from violence.
Empowering women and girls is a long term commitment for H&M, especially in their day to day operations. Around 76% of the average number of employees are women and women hold 69% of all positions of responsibility within the company, such as store managers, support functions and country managers.
